I'm not going to let this thread going into oblivion.
I send a (polite) mail to an active forum dev about this topic and got no response. Besides that being rude, I cannot phantom why no-one from ccp just steps in and says, we hear you, we forgot, we made a mistake and cannot do this.
Why?

Wow, CCP think I've forgotten about this? Think again.
Taking bets now how long this will take for an official answer. My guess is 7 month's at least. |

CCP Falcon wrote:Hey guys,
Apologies for the delay in responding to this thread! The run up to the launch of Rubicon next week has been pretty hectic for everyone here at CCP.
I've spoken with a few people, and this station is planned to be delivered before Fanfest 2014. It was put back from being deployed with Rubicon due to other development priorities, but is very much still on the radar and is something that we are of course committed to. It will hopefully be included in one of the point releases in the run up to Fanfest.
Good to read. I'll be keeping an eye out on the patch notes for this station to arrive before next fanfest. Be honest, if it takes CCP 12 month's to put a single station in game you have much bigger problems at hand.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that you, with absolutely no insight to what CCP has planned for the station and what development resources - art and programming alike - are available, what those resources also need to be doing, and what it would take to actually create a new station, are not qualified to make that assessment. " "
You're absolutely right. All info I and most of us have is that there's 1 station that takes almost 12 month's to get into the game with 2 threads being ignored for almost 3 month's.
Don't tell me they didn't plan this before announcing the10 year vet station?

So uhm, there was a mentioning it would be up for Rubicon 1.1.
What happened, did a certain monument fall on it?

Wasn't there a post about an incoming dev blog about this after Malcanis pinged for a dev?
On a side note, I know why it takes them a year to build this station, it's the first one where the door actually opens! |

Salvos Rhoska wrote:With all due respect, the huge majority of EVE are not 10yr vets, and could care less, and would rather that Dev time was dedicated to a better game for everyone, rather than a trophy for a tiny minority.
My thing with this is that A: they promised it as part of EVE 10 years to award those around for just as long and B: I refuse to believe they made this "Vet station" up at last fanfest, at least without knowing they where able in the coming 12 months to allocate some dev time to this.
If it was/ is not possible then CCP should say so and we can drop this. This is just getting ridiculous letting us 'hang' here. :x |

It will hopefully be included in one of the point releases in the run up to Fanfest. On a more personal note, you guys who'll get access to this station when it's released are all terrible due to the fact that I had 9 years and 5 months under my belt before I got hired by CCP and lost my characters, and only needed 7 more months before I got docking rights. Yes, I'm jelly Quoting this post for context. Back when it was made, development were looking into how to do this, and the time it would take vs the overall level of engagement that would come out of it. It's been decided by our Development team that a Station is not the best use of resources. That said, there'll be more information regarding this at the EVE & DUST Community Panel at Fanfest, as well as some time where we'll be discussing the idea of rewarding our long standing veterans, and taking suggestions on what people would like to see instead. We'd like to hear you guys out, gather feedback, and see what the Community wants as a 10 year celebration of EVE in game. So, come along to the EVE & DUST Community Panel at Fanfest 2014, and lets sit down and have a talk about what the best solution would be for rewarding our 10 year veterans.
Well at least we know.
Taking nearly a year to come up with this statement, piling it up with rest of CCP's debacles I witnessed over the past 6 or so years, knowing you do have time for out of game fluff stuff like building monuments, not that I don't like it but you have time for that but not for rewarding your 10 year vets? Guess how that makes you look here? Keeping it civil the word pants comes to my mind.
Ps: this is typical ccp nonsense & smoke:

Have you any imagination left yourself or is CCP truly left without any vision and balls? |
